Lyrin Bailey
Artist Statement
My work explores the experiences that have shaped me. Through the lens of emotion I reveal and address my wounds, scars, strength and power.
I know I am not alone in the anguish, rage and sorrow that I have felt in my past. None of us are alone in these experiences. And I pull strength from knowing that. Each one of us is bound by this emotional collective. This human condition; indifferent to its individual impact.
This world is dark and ruthless. I believe it is within us to illuminate. Be a beacon of hope and joy. A beacon of truth and justice.
